This week, during Questions on Policy/Legislation, I highlighted the issues with the postal service in Dublin North West with the Tánaiste, following queries raised from constituents on same in recent weeks. I also raised the issues facing urban postmasters after meeting with a group from Dublin earlier in the month.

𝐁𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝟗 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟏 Yesterday, after 3 weeks of emails and calls about the new sus services in our area, I tabled a topical issue on the roll out of Phase 7 of Bus Connects in Finglas West, South, East and Glasnevin. Along with the issues of the new routes, on the F2, F3, 23, 24 we have a less frequent and a less reliable service. More people are waiting longer and often report buses full when a bus does arrive. I don't expect the Department to be involved in the day-to-day operation of buses at a local level, but I wanted to ensure the NTA and Dublin Bus, who are responsible, to realise the level of complaint I have been receiving and at the very least I want them to address the reduced service which commuters are now being offered.
