BUS ROUTE CHANGES
We have been informed by the NTA that following bus routes are scheduled to be removed 9, 83, 140, 13, 4,11, 155,40,40D,40B and they will be replaced with routes 23, 24, 19, E1, E2, F1, F2, F3. The N4 and N6 are not affected.
There is no agreed date for these changes but changes in Finglas West and South are expected in early 2024 and other routes later in the year. It is very hard to compare the new and old routes, but I have tried to outline the journey taken by the new routes as follows.
24 Dublin Airport, Charlestown Shopping Centre, Melville Road, Jamestown Road, Sycamore Road, Willow Park Crescent, Willow Park Road, Beneavin Drive, Ballygall Road East, Cremore Villas, Old Finglas Road, Botanic Road, Broadstone, Dame Street, Georges Street to Merrion Square.
23 Charlestown Shopping Centre, St Margarets Road, Jamestown Road, Clune Road, Glasanaon Road, Tolka Estate, Old Finglas Road, Botanic Road, Broadstone, Dame Street, Georges Street to Merrion Square.
19 Dublin Airport, IKEA, Balbutcher, Main Street Ballymun, Glasnevin Avenue, Glasanevin Drive, Delville Road, St Pappins Road, Ballymun Road, St Mobhi Road, Home Farm Road, Drumcondra Road, Parnell Square.
E1 and E2 Spine will be a 24 hour service on the Ballymun Road, St Mobhi Road, Phsborough Road, Great Western Way, Parnell Square, O’Connell Street, College Green and onwards to UCD and Dun Laoghaire.
F1 F2 Spine will be a 24 hour service operating on through Finglas West onto the Finglas Road, Harts Corner, Whitworth Road, Dorset Street, Parnell Square, O’Connell Street, College Green, Nassau Street and onwards to Harolds Cross
F3 will service Finglas South or Finglas West and then follow the F spine.
